Itinerary

Day 01

Pick up from the airport – City tour in Cusco

After your arrival to the city of Cusco,Xploring Peru staff will pick you up from the airport or bus station to transfer you to your hotel, giving you all the necessary information about your stay in our city and then start the City tour.

This day we will start with the City tour with the pick up from your hotel and then go to the Temple of Qoricancha, the first place to visit is the temple of the sun, our tour will be 45 min. and then board our mobility and go to the upper part of Cusco where we will visit the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman and Qenqo considered as the temple of Pachamama. Then we will visit Pukapukara and finally Tambomachay which is the temple of water.

Our tour will be ending at 07:00 pm.

Day 02

Sacred Valley of the Incas - Aguas Calientes ( Machu Picchu )

This day we will start with the pick up of our passengers from their respective hotels between 06:30 a.m. to 07:00 a.m.

The first place to visit will be Chinchero, where we will learn how to dye the wool of camelids in an interpretation center, then we will continue our journey to the next point which will be Moray and appreciate its circular terraces, in this same place we will visit the salt mines of Maras that has more than 3000 pools of different sizes and dimensions that are fed by salt water that springs from the subsoil.

At noon we will have a buffet lunch in the province of Urubamba and the last place we will visit will be the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, Inca fortress and visit its beautiful temples, dedicated to water, the sun, etc.. At the end of the tour of Ollantaytambo, we will go to the train station, where we will take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, upon arrival the guide will be waiting to take us to the hotel where he will give us information about the next day.

Day 03

Machu Picchu

We will start the most important day of our trip with a delicious breakfast, then we will go to the Aguas Calientes bus station and ascend to the Sanctuary of Machupicchu (travel time 20 minutes). Upon arrival, at the entrance of the sanctuary our guide will be waiting for us to begin with the guided tour of approx. 2 hours, where we will visit the Inca workshops, temple of the moon, temple of the sun, temple of the condor, etc..

After the tour we will have free time to visit the Inca citadel on our own. Then we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes, if you wish you can go to the hot springs (optional). Finally we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo Station, where our transportation will be waiting for us to return to the city of Cusco.

Day 04

Cusco – Farewell
