Full Day: Cusco – Pacchanta – 7 Lakes – Pacchanta – Cusco
Hotel Pickup and Drive to Pacchanta. The tour begins between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., with hotel pickup from Cusco's Historic Center. The drive to the Andean community of Pacchanta offers beautiful mountain scenery as you gradually ascend into the Vilcanota Range.
Breakfast and Hike to the Lakes. Upon arrival in Pacchanta at approximately 7:30 a.m., you'll enjoy breakfast before starting the hike. The trail gradually climbs, offering panoramic views of Ausangate Mountain and its glaciers, with alpacas, llamas, and native birds along the way.
The 7 Lakes. The hike to the seven lakes — Otorongo Macho, Otorongo Hembra, Puca Cocha, Alqa Cocha, Qomer Cocha, Azul Cocha and Pata Cocha — takes approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes round trip, with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and several photo stops.
Lunch and Pacchanta Hot Springs. After returning to Pacchanta around 2:00 p.m., you'll enjoy a traditional Andean lunch. Free time allows for a soak in the Pacchanta Hot Springs (entrance fee not included).
Return to Cusco. The return journey finishes at approximately 6:30 p.m., with drop-off in the Historic Center.
