Day 01

Cusco – Abra Malaga – Biking – Rafting – Santa Maria –Lodge

Your Inca Jungle Trek 4 Days begins with a hotel pick-up. We will pick you up around 6 am in Cusco. So, you need to get ready for your inca jungle trek before the sun rises. On this ride, we will cross the Sacred Valley. There are some small towns between the Vilcabamba and Vilcanota peak ranges. Then we will stop at Chinchero and Ollantaytambo. Here you can spend some time and stretch your legs.

After Ollantaytambo, we will go to the Abra Malaga Pass. It's 4,350 meters above sea level. As a part of that, we will continue bike prep. For your Inca Jungle Cusco visit, we aim to ensure that you have the correct gear and instruction from our guide or staff for biking and safety. After that, we will bike downhill on the bikes for 50 km (31 miles) with two stops. It includes Veronica Peak and some lush, beautiful views of the valley.

After Huamanmarca, we will go to Santa Maria. This is 1,200 meters above sea level. We will spend the night here. In the afternoon, we will have a chance to go white-water rafting on the Vilcanota River. It is totally optional. You can even opt for an inca jungle trail. For those looking for the thrill of a lifetime, this is a great opportunity. This option is available between April and December. It also depends on the conditions of the river. Day 02

Santa Maria – Inca Trail – Hot Springs – Santa Teresa

After breakfast, we will begin our second day of the Inca Jungle Trail. We will walk uphill for 45 minutes, learning about native plants and wildlife. We will stop at an organic coffee farm to discover the local coffee-making process. Here, we may taste fresh coffee and chocolate made by Andean families.

Next, we will follow original Inca paths, walking for about an hour on stone steps built centuries ago. We will continue along farmer trails until reaching Huaka Yupana village. Locals will prepare traditional meals, and we will spend time sharing their culture and lifestyle.

After lunch, we will hike for 40 minutes before crossing a hanging bridge. We will also use a small cable car to cross another river. By late afternoon, we will arrive at the Cocalmayo Hot Springs. Here, we will relax in warm pools surrounded by mountains.

Finally, we will continue to Santa Teresa for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 03

Santa Teresa – Zip Line – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes

We will start the third day of the Inca Jungle Trek with breakfast and coffee. Then, we will prepare for zip-lining, one of the most exciting parts of the trek. For two hours, we will cross canyons and forests on high cables. This thrilling activity will give us panoramic views of the mountains and valleys.

After zip-lining, we will take transport to Hidroelectrica. There, we will enjoy a hot lunch before starting our hike. The walk follows train tracks through the jungle for about 11 km. We will see waterfalls, banana plantations, and wild orchids along the way.

By late afternoon, we will arrive at Aguas Calientes at 2,040 meters above sea level. We will check into our hotel, shower, and rest. In town, they will serve us dinner, and we will prepare for our big day at Machu Picchu.

Day 04

Machu Picchu – Cusco

On the final day, we will wake up very early and eat breakfast. We will then ascend to Machu Picchu. We may choose to walk for 1.5 hours up 1,700 steps. Alternatively, we may take the bus for a 30-minute ride.

Once inside Machu Picchu at 2,430 meters above sea level, our guide will lead a 2.5-hour tour. We will learn about Inca history, architecture, and spiritual traditions. We will visit temples, terraces, and viewpoints with breathtaking panoramas. After the guided tour, we will have free time to explore or rest.

Those who booked in advance may hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. Both hikes will reward us with unforgettable views. In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco by train or bus, completing our adventure.
