Day 01

Itinerary

We will start with the pick up of our passengers from their respective hotels to head south. Arriving at the community of Pitumarca, we will begin our 8 km hike. On the way we will be able to identify the flora of the place. Upon reaching the highest point, we will take a break and then continue to Waqrapukara, at 4300 meters above sea level. It is believed that Waqrapukara is a first order sanctuary with a political and religious power that has not yet been deciphered. In this place we will have a privileged view of the landscape in which this fortress was built. After lunch we will visit the archaeological site. Finally we will board our transportation to return to the city of Cusco.
